Ek het 'n groot liefde vir tuinmaak, maar my kennis van tuinbou was vaag. Die tuinbou kursusse aangebied deur Ate Berga het my oë laat oopgaan vir die wonderwêreld van plante. Tesame met die tuinuitleg kurses aangebied deur Helen Lachenicht word my belangstelling nou gevoed deur ervaring, my kennis het gegroei en kan ek vrugbaar uitdrukking gee aan my skeppende vermoëns. Dit gee my 'n gevoel van groot bevrediging om te sien hoe my tuinprojekte behoorlik blom. Ek beveel albei kursesse met groot geesdrif aan. Dit het my lewe verryk.

Thank you so much for Part 1 of the Garden Design Course which was held on Saturday - I must say that I enjoyed every minute!
You certainly are an excellent teacher and definitely a natural! Its also easy to keep focused on what you are discussing at all time - I must say though, that I was exhausted by the time I arrived home but when I discussed what we had learnt with my husband on Sunday morning - it all came back to me!

The introduction course to garden design has been so inspirational. It takes a bit of hard work to complete, but worth all the effort. I thoroughly enjoyed all elements of the course and now use the simple design principles to decorate my home let alone landscape parts of my garden.
As students, we are encouraged to develop our areas of strength to complete a design course with endless thoughtful and helpful tips from Helen and other students. I am motivated to learn even more about gardening (incl indigenous) with the aim to incorporate all elements of nature into our garden (encouraging birds and butterflies)!
Thank you, I have a wonderful sense of fulfillment and achievement. It was fantastic that I could walk away with a final plan to implement in our very own garden. Hopefully it turns out like we planned!!
Gardening is more than therapeutic; it is creative.

I just had to tell you this morning how excited this whole new world of garden designing is making me.
Thank you very much for introducing us to a whole new world. I love gardening and since we moved in our house 4 years ago, I worked very hard weekends to make it lovely. But I never thought that I can be so excited about developing a new garden and have a lot of new ideas for my own garden were I live now, and also for the new place that they are going to start building at the end of Feb.
Maybe there is a whole new world waiting for me to look forward and change my career from bookkeeping to gardening.

The basic garden design course gave me a solid foundation in understanding and developing what worked and what didn't in revamping my garden. Helen shared her experience through a combination of illustrated design concepts, practical drawing techniques and valuable insights into her own lessons learnt. The whole programme was supported by comprehensive notes which have given me a wonderful point of reference going forward.

Helen en Heather se tuin-ontwerp kursus het nuwe horisonne ten opsigte van tuinbou vir my oop gemaak. Ek het alles wat ek weet van tuinbou tydens hierdie kursus geleer. Stap vir stap is verskeie tuin ontwerp tegnieke, verskillende plant seleksies en uiteindelik die plant van plante op 'n informele wyse by my tuis gebring. Ek is opnuut bewus gemaak van die voordele wat inheemse plante inhou, asook die groot voordeel om gebruik te maak van organiese bemesting en -gifstowwe om sodoende jou eie klein "eko-sisteem" te skep.
